Example: Claude Code
Show Claude Code what you mean, on your Mac
Last updated
Circl sends a circled part of your screen and what you say straight into Claude Code. Hold the shortcut, circle the problem while you talk, and let go: Claude Code gets the screenshot and your words as one prompt and starts working. Claude Code is one example: Circl works with any AI app. Circl is tested end to end with Claude Code in Terminal, as well as with Codex CLI.
What Circl actually does
Circl does not call any AI provider. When you let go, it puts the cropped screenshot and your words on the macOS clipboard, brings your terminal forward and puts both into the Claude Code prompt: the image first, then your words. When the image shows up as an attachment, it presses Return once. It only does this while that terminal stays in front.
An example
- Claude Code is open in Terminal, and a button on your app’s page looks cramped.
- You hold your mouse button and circle the button while you say: “Make this button wider and give it rounded corners.”
- You let go. The screenshot and your words land in the Claude Code prompt, and Circl presses Return.
- Claude Code starts working. With Review before sending on, the prompt waits for you to press Return instead.
One example of many
Circl works with any AI app, not just this one: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and basically any app with a text box. The motion is the same everywhere. See works with any AI app.
Status
- Claude Code: tested end to end in Terminal.
- Codex CLI: tested end to end in Terminal.
- Other AI apps: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Cursor and any app with a text box work the same way.
Circl is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI or the makers of any AI app it works with.
